Here's what we usually get asked
Not at all. Our most engaged clients are 35-60 year old professionals and active adults who want to proactively understand and manage their health. You don't need to be an athlete to benefit from having a proper health baseline - you just need to be curious about where you actually stand.
Depending on your package, a session covers some or all of: VO2 max testing, strength and power assessment using force plates, functional movement screening, and grip strength measurement. Sessions typically run 60–120 minutes (depending on number of tests) and include a results debrief so you leave understanding your numbers along with a tailored game plan to improve key areas.
A GP check is designed to detect disease and flag pathology. Our testing measures physical performance markers — cardiovascular fitness, strength and power output, movement quality, grip strength. They serve different purposes and complement each other. We don't replace your GP.
We'll send you prep notes when you book. Generally — avoid intense exercise the day before, arrive well hydrated, and wear comfortable gym clothing. Specific instructions depend on which tests you're doing.
Your debrief following testing is where the data becomes key. We walk you through what your numbers mean, how they compare to benchmarks for your age and activity level, and what the most meaningful areas to focus on are. You leave with a clear picture, not just a printout.
Most clients retest every 3–6 months to track progress. After your initial baseline, we'll recommend a cadence based on your goals.
